The Companion Animal Relief & Education Project

No one should have to choose between caring for themselves and caring for their pet. The CARE Project provides free veterinary services to individuals facing homelessness or housing instability, meeting pets and their people with dignity, empathy, and medical support. We honor the bond that provides companionship, comfort, and resilience in the hardest times.

A supportive experience that turns caring into community

At CARE Project, we believe in the power of community to make a positive impact on the lives of pets. Join our collaborative network of pet lovers dedicated to providing love, care, and support.

Free Veterinary Medical Care

Routine exams, vaccinations, illness/injury treatment & parasite prevention. Medical support to keep pets healthy even when their people are unhoused or housing-unstable.

Mobile & Outreach Clinics

Street-outreach or shelter-based clinics that bring care directly to people and pets – no transportation needed, no barriers to access.

Pet Support Services

Practical support for pets and their people, including basic supplies, guidance, safety planning, and assistance that helps maintain stability and prevent separation during difficult times.

Community Cat Program (TVAR)

Humane trapping, vaccination, spay/neuter, and return (or managed placement) for free-roaming or unowned “community” cats — reducing overpopulation, preventing suffering, and promoting community-wide animal welfare.

Thank you again so much. You guys are wonderful and absolute angels. From the bottom of my heart, I am beyond grateful for your kindness.
